It's been a quick two years!

Well guys this is it!

It's been a quick two years! Sometimes it seems like it flew by but when I think back to the last thing I did while I was home that seemed like forever ago. This week was a pretty good week. I got to go on exchanges with Elder Peters, one of my favorite missionaries, we met lots of new people, we put two people on baptismal dates for the end of August, I won a king sized kit-kat for guessing where Hayden Schaff is going on his mission (he's going to Fresno California ).

I got to meet the new mission president who is really awesome, but unfortunately I won't get to know him. I'll probably only see him twice, the first time I met him and when I Ieave. And I got to go to pageant on Saturday with the Orchard Park Elders and a less active named Sister Plummer who is super awesome! We went to the grove and to pageant and had a great time. We sang Joseph Smith’s First Prayer in the Sacred Grove, made a couple random people cry, and got to meet all of the people I've met over the past two years at pageant.

Then I had my last Sunday as a full time missionary and got to say good-bye to a lot of good people but they are all so excited to meet you guys next week. I signed a bunch of my ties and gave them to the youth so they can take them on their missions and hopefully it will remind them to keep in touch. So it was a pretty good last full week.

I've learned a lot these last few years and I've grown a lot as well. I'm so grateful for all of the people I got to meet, the Owens, Pfaff's, Robison's, Alessi's, all of the youth here in the ward, and the rest of the great families here in Orchard Park Ward. I really appreciate all of the advice they've given me and the relationships with them I've been able to develop. I've really seen why I was sent here to western New York, to meet the people that I did. I'm sure that I will continue see why I was sent here over the rest of my life as well. I'm going to have to try and stay in touch with all of these people for sure.

A lot of really cool missionaries have become great friends that I'll be a friend with for a long time. I've developed some great habits of scripture study, and really increased my knowledge of the gospel being here in the Cradle of the Restoration. I've really come to love this church and being a member of it. I've come to know my savior Jesus Christ so much better and how he can help me with everything. I really appreciate what Joseph Smith did for this church. I love this gospel. I know it's true.

Behold I Addison, son of Ammon, have grown strong in the gospel of Jesus Christ and do promise to stay true and faithful to it. And I make an end to my speaking. ;)

Love you!

January 5th, 2015

Hey guys!                                                                                                  January 5th, 2015

So, we started this week off good! We went up to Canandaigua to play basketball with pretty much the whole zone! We played for a couple of hours, which was nice since I haven't really been able to play any on my mission yet! So it was great to play a little but I'm definitely out of shape to be running around the court! Also I forgot to tell you last week but we got to go to the temple again so that's always a plus!

New Year's Eve we went to some members house in the Hornell branch, the Seamans, with the Hornell Elders and the Dansville Sisters since nobody from our branch invited us over. We just had dinner, played a couple games and talked about the things we learned from the past year and what our goals are for next year. As for missionary work the past week we've been trying to go and contact all of the less active members in the branch, which is a lot! If everyone came it would be a ward but we're quite a ways off from that. We just went around introducing ourselves then just got a feel for how their relationship with the church is. We have a couple part member families that we are trying to work with and hopefully they will come back and we can reach the rest of their family! If all goes well with these families this small branch is going to grow quite a bit!

The Millers, the senior couple missionaries are awesome! They are great missionaries, who in my opinion work harder than some of the younger ones. They are bold and have this great vision of how to do things and are really going to help change this area! We have a meeting with them every Sunday night just to talk about missionary work and how we are going to work together and they feed is dinner, which is great! So that's pretty much the whole week, just going around visiting a ton of less actives. One cool thing was we went down to this town called Alma which makes me wonder what are the chances that it's founded by Mormons and all of the people in the town don't even know who he is! So I guess I'll have to go tell them!

Trip to the Palmyra Temple back in December with the Owens family from his Springville area. The Owens are a wonderful family that love and include ALL the missionaries in their branch.  They have been such a great support for Elder Daugs.  They were so kind to include he and Elder Smith as they traveled up to Palmyra to go through the temple with their daughter Lynette who will be leaving soon to Brazil to serve a mission as well.  They currently have two other children out on missions.  What a wonderful family!

Moving to Wellsville! ~ Transfer day!

Hey everyone!                                                                                             December 15, 2014

So, this week was an awesome week! Monday we went to the Owens and did the usual stuff, which is always great! The rest of the week we did the usual stuff but I don't remember any specifics. Friday, we went to zone meeting in Orchard Park and learned some new things, played some games and made Christmas ornaments, etc...

Saturday was my favorite day! Lynette went to the temple to get her endowments and the Owens took us with them. We went to the temple, which was awesome! I had been praying about something in my patriarchal blessing for a couple weeks and it was answered right before the session started so that was great!! Gave me a little clarity about things in the future but not much, I'm still confused but it will come eventually!

Then, we went to the bookstore then to Cici's pizza then home. But the drive all of the way there and back went by so fast so it wasn't even bad!
The Owens make it fun! Then on Sunday we had usual meetings then we went to a stake Christmas concert thing in Amherst. Each branch or ward had to do a musical number so Lynette asked if we could help sing, which I don't know if that was the best idea! Anyways, that was fun!

This morning we got transfer calls and I'm going to Wellsville with Elder Christensen! So that will be great! I'm glad that I get to go to a new area but I'm going to miss the people here! Especially the Owens!!! I've really come to love them but I'm sure we'll keep in contact! Sandra will probably still keep in contact with you too mom. I don't know if I'll meet another family like them on my mission but I'm grateful I got to start my mission here and get to know them! They will be missed along with the other members of the branch!

Wellsville will be a great area! I'll be sure to try and take some pictures for you mom! Sandra might have to take some and send them to you though because I'm not so good at sending pictures home! Well have a great week and my new address is 19 Pine St. Apt 3 Wellsville NY
14895.

Love ya!
