September 28, 2015

Hey guys!

So this week we taught Joseph again. We had to move his Baptismal date back to next month because he isn't quite ready yet, but hopefully soon. We had lots of little opportunities to talk with people in different places, like the gas station, some anti guy found our phone number somehow and we were able to tell about all of our beliefs.

We talked with a bunch of people this week, mostly college students. We had dinner with this investigator named Ron who took us out to a really nice Italian restaurant, hen after that he left and flew all of the way to Miami just to watch the Bill’s game. I tried to convince him to let me drive his Porsche.... Still have to work on him haha.

We went to Albion a couple of times again this week. We had dinner with a member who has a non-member husband but he had two sons go on missions and he still doesn't believe.

Oh and when we were doing service a the food shelf I saw something really cool... You'll never guess. It was Gossner milk! They were giving out milk from Logan! Who would've thought!

Still working with some less actives and our couple investigators, and we were finally able to contact Elizabeth again. That's pretty much it!

Have a great week!

Love you!

Sick Week :(

This week kind of sucked actually because I was sick from Thursday to Sunday so only two days of actual work this week. I’m almost better. I got the medicine and that should do. I just had a sore throat, cough, runny nose, headache, etc... The usual cold. It was pretty bad on Friday, but it's better now.

We did more service moving sister Johnson across Albion to an apartment. It was interesting because it was really big furniture and a little apartment with lots of corners and little hallways so hat took a while. Then we split a lot more wood for members because heat is the only way some of them heat their house and they go through a lot of wood when it's -20 outside! So I'll probably be splitting wood at least once a week until winter again. It's kind of funny when we talk about how much longer we have left on our mission; it's not in months, it's how many winters we have left and I only have one...long....cold winter left.

I went on exchanges with the zone leaders this week and elder Scott came here and that's when we did the service. Thursday we had zone conference in Rochester at the stake center. It was a pretty good meeting but super long!! It was 8 1/2 hours!!! And I was sick so....

Then they put these things on our car that track our driving, see how we drive, speed, etc... And it talks to you in a Steve Hawkins voice when you speed or something. It's kind of annoying but I guess it will be good. We also got new phones that are worse than the last ones. The other day someone texted us in the morning and we didn't get it until 5:30 in the afternoon so it was a little late there. And it doesn't get service at the church.

Anyways, nothing too big since I was sick for four days. Hope you have a great week!

Love you!

September 14, 2015

Hey! So this week didn't have anything as cool as last week. We did a bunch of service, mostly splitting wood again because it's that time of year and the snow is going to be here soon....unfortunately.
We had a couple of lessons with our investigators this week and they went good.

The week wasn't really anything out of the ordinary but one thing that was out of the ordinary was that we had 4 investigators at church, and about 5 less active people, so that was really cool!! Hopefully we can have every week like that! We are still working on getting food ready for baptism in a while.

We did service at the Episcopal Church again and this old lady's teeth fell out, and another old lady kept trying to touch my butt.... So pretty boring week. Sorry guys!

Love you!

September 8th, 2015

Hey guys!

This week went good. Elder Miller and I are getting along very good and we are having a lot of fun. We did quite a bit of service this week for several different members. We cleaned out a garage on day and the other day we moved a bunch of furniture out of an abandoned house for someone. We had a lesson with Joe and his baptism will be coming up soon. His date is set for the 20th; all he needs to do is keep the word of wisdom. We visited with a couple of less active members this week.

We had a ward party at the McNees' this and it was good to continue to get to know all of the members a little better. One cool thing there was a kid in the ward opened his mission call here and he is going to the Las Vegas mission in about a month. It reminded me a lot of when I opened my mission call. P day was really cool this week.

We had a multi zone p-day at president Francis' house in Brighton. We went and played football, kickball, had a barbecue, and just visited with some of the other missionaries. I finally met sister Nield from Smithfield and I guess here grandparents know grandpa Bart and grandma Iris. Also, I learned that sister Davis is from Cache Valley as well so it's pretty cool to talk with some people who are from the same area!

That's pretty much the exciting parts of the week.
